Entire freshman class sent to Bangor Oct 06.

Includes programs for new lap top, LCD projector, wall mounted projector
screen ,digital camera, color printer and scanner.

Pilot program for Sophomores and Juniors, community leaders discuss their
careers and opportunities in their field.

Construct and demonstrate solar panel capabilities.

Middle School Grants
1.) Imovie Project
Provided Digital cameras to permit students to make their own movies.
2.) Real World Communications Project
Students can teleconference with peers in foreign countries. Foundation
provided equipment.
3.) Exchange City project
Teaches students civics and economics in a hands-on environment.
4.) International Baccalaureate Sculpture
60 students, art department teachers and volunteer artists created a
sculpture representing the IB philosophy.
Consolidated School Grants:
1.) Every Day Math Program
Provided supplemental materials and manipulatives for pilot math program for
grades K-5.
2.) Children’s Literacy Program
Funded a book for each child in the school tailored to his/her interests.
3.) Classroom Spanish for Kids
Pilot program introducing Spanish on pilot basis to grades K-2.
4.) Fabric Press for Art Department
Provided press for fabric creations.
5.) K-1 Foreign Language Teacher Training
Provide training for K-1 staff for foreign language program.
6.) Science Necessities Project
Provide training materials to science teachers.
Kennebunk Elementary Grants :
1.) Extend the Internet Workshop Program
Provided computers and digital equipment for two grade 3 classrooms to allow
students to practice communication and presentation skills.
2.) Accelerated Reading Program
Program for K-3 pilot classrooms.Key feature is monitoring by each student
as a basis for acceleration
3.) K-1 Foreign Language Teacher Training
Provide training for K-1 staff for foreign language program.
Sea Road School :
1.) Higher level Math
Provided opportunities for more advanced math students in grades 4 and 5 to
receive higher level math instruction.
2.) Heartwood College Art School Program
All (265) 4th and 5th graders attended demonstrations in small groups by
Heartwood faculty in (10) different media.
